    Dynamic margin requirements

Your margin requirement depends on your chosen leverage. Change in leverage directly affects the margin you require. Just like spreads fluctuate with market conditions, the leverage available to you can also change.

    Fixed leverage

Versus pairs have fixed leverage, regardless of the maximum leverage available on your account:

    Instrument Maximum leverage
    AMZNvsBABA 1:20
    BTCvsUS500 1:100
    BTCvsXAU 1:100
    CHA50vsUS500 1:100
    PEPvsKO 1:20
    TSLAvsFORD 1:20
    US100vsWTI 1:100
    WTIvsNGAS 1:100

    Dividends

Dividends may be added or subtracted depending on the underlying assets and whether the position is long or short.

Indice vs. Indice or Stock vs. Stock pairs (e.g., CHA50vsUS500):

    • In a long position, the system treats it as buying the base asset and selling the quote asset.
Dividends are credited on the base asset and deducted from the quote asset.
    • In a short position, it’s treated as selling the base asset and buying the quote asset.
Dividends are credited on the quote asset and deducted from the base asset.

Commodity vs. Indice or Currency vs. Indice pairs (e.g., BTCvsUS500):

    • Dividend adjustments apply only to the indice side, as commodities and currencies do not pay dividends.
    • The adjustment logic is the same: Dividends are applied based on whether the Indice is treated as bought or sold.

    Frequently asked questions

    How do Versus pairs work?

Versus Trade confronts two popular CFD assets against each other. You profit when forecasting which asset accrues more actively.
You’re not trading on the price change of one asset, but rather how it performs compared with the other.
Example: In Bitcoin vs Gold, you’re Buy or Sell based on whether Bitcoin will outperform Gold in price increase percentage — or the other way around.

When do I profit with Versus pairs?

You Buy Versus pair when you forecast the first asset outgrows the second one in the pair.
You Sell Versus pair when you forecast the second asset value increases in percents more than the first asset value in the pair.
Example: In Bitcoin vs Gold, choose Buy if you think Bitcoin will rise more percentage-wise than Gold. Choose Sell if you think Gold will rise more than Bitcoin in terms of percentage too.
