    Frequently asked questions

What is a definition of stock/share CFD?

Stocks/Shares CFD (Contract for Difference) is an asset that allows traders to speculate on the price movements of individual company stocks without owning the actual shares.

How do stock CFDs differ from traditional stock trading?

With stock CFDs, you’re speculating on price movements without owning the actual shares. This means you don’t receive dividends or have voting rights, but you can still benefit from price changes, both up and down. Stock CFDs also allow you to trade with leverage, which isn’t available in traditional stock trading.

How does leverage work with stock CFDs?

Stocks have fixed leverage, regardless of the maximum leverage available on your account. For all stock CFDs, leverage is set at 1:40. While leverage amplifies both potential profits and losses, it’s crucial to use it responsibly and always trade within your risk tolerance.
